For the first time, a representative from Ecuador bring home the Miss International Crown for her country. Miss Ecuador María Fernanda Cornejo was crowned the 51st Miss International during the coronation night on Sunday, November 6, at the Sichuan Opera Theatre, in Chengdu, China.
On the other hand, Miss Philippines Dianne Necio qualify for the semifinals as she get the People's Choice Award (read story here) .
Other winners are 1st Runner-up: Miss Venezuela Jessica Barboza , 2nd Runner-up: Miss Mongolia Tugsuu Idersaikhan, 3rd Runner-up: Miss Puerto Rico Desiree Del Rio, 4th Runner-up: Miss Panama Keity Mendieta.
Top 15 Semifinalists composed of Misses from Brazil, Latvia, Lebanon, Netherlands,Philippines, Russia,
Sweden, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Vietnam.
