Star Cinema's 'The Mistress' is the Highest Grossing Pinoy Film for 2012

ANG pelikula ng Star Cinema ana pinagbidahan nina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo na “The Mistress” ang pinaka-nag-hit sa takilya para sa taong 2012.

As of December 25, 2012 kumita ang The Mistress ng tumataginting na P262.82 milyon.

Sinundan ito ng “This Guy’s In Love with U Mare” na tumabo ng P249.09 milyon.

'A Secret Affair' grossed 95.1 Million Pesos in 2 weeks

Hindi tulad ng mga naibalita na naka-100 Million Pesos na ang 'A Secret Affair' at nataasan pa diumano nito ang box office gross ng 'The Mistress' ng Star Cinema ay ayon sa Box office Mojo, a third party tabulator, ay nakaka 95.17 Million Pesos pa lamang ang pelikula ni Anne Curtis, Andi Eigenmann at Derek Ramsay sa loob ng 2 weeks.

Samantala, ang 'Suddenly It's Magic' ni Mario Maurer at Erich Gonzales ay kumita na ng 25.86 Million Pesos sa loob ng isang linggo. 

“This Guy’s In Love With U, Mare!” Grossed P129 Million in 5 Days

The Star Cinema comedy movie “This Guy’s In Love With U, Mare!” has raked in P129.49 million for the October 10 to 14 time frame according to Box Office Mojo.

The Toni Gonzaga-Luis Manzano-Vice Ganda starrer broke the box office record of “The Mistress” for the year’s biggest 5-day opening. John Lloyd and Bea’s film scored P106.27 million in 5 days while “This Guy’s In Love With U, Mare!” has raked in P124.49 million which signifies that it has the potential to break the box-office record of “Praybeyt Benjamin” as the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time.

BOX OFFICE RESULTS: 'The Reunion' Grosses P55.5 Million; 'Just One Summer' Earned P6.15 Million

GMA Films’ “Just One Summer” and Star Cinema’s “The Reunion” opened in theaters at the same schedule. How did they fare at the box office?

Total Recall topped the local box office last weekend with a 5-day opening gross of P28.8 million. The Expendables 2 settled for 2nd place on its 2nd week with a weekend gross of P20.4 million and a two-week gross of P74.7 million.

As for Pinoy films, Star Cinema’s “The Reunion” starring Xian Lim, Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil and Kean Cipriano had a two-week gross of P55.5 million which put the barkada movie in 5th place for this year’s highest-grossing local movies.

Vilma Santos' The Healing Grosses 74.4 Million Pesos in 2 Weeks

The Chito Roño horror flick “The Healing” starring the Star for All Seasons–Vilma Santos–has raked in P74.4 million in two weeks according to a report by third party tabulator, Box Office Mojo.

In contrast to Star Cinema’s report last August 1, 2012 saying that their horror movie “The Healing” has grossed P80 million in seven days (1 week), Box Office Mojo posted a different result. According to the US-based movie website, “The Healing” has accumulated only P74.4 million in two weeks.

According to the last press release by Star Cinema, the “The Healing” which had an P80-million haul on its 1st week, opened in 145 theaters nationwide last July 25. Box Office Mojo, however, has no report on the box-office gross of “The Healing” for their July 25–29, 2012 report. Instead, no. 1 in their report was “The Dark Knight Rises” with a weekend haul of P56.24-M in 226 movie screens.

BOX-OFFICE RESULT: "Kimmy Dora & The Temple of Kyeme" Grosses Php133.33M

“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” has already raked-in P133.33 million in ticket sales on it’s 5th week of screening.

While the “The Amazing Spider-Man” topped Philippine box-office for two consecutive weeks before “Ice Age 4″ took the top spot last week, local movie “Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” solidified its box-office status as the 2nd highest-grossing pinoy movie of 2012 by grossing P133.33 million in 5 weeks.

‘Kimmy Dora & Temple Of Kiyeme′ Grossed P116.8-M in 3 Weeks

“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” became the second Pinoy movie of the year to surpass the P100 million box-office mark.

As expected, “The Amazing Spider-Man” topped Philippine box-office for the opening period June 27 to July 1, 2012 by virtue of its first 5-day gross of P138 million.

“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” settled for 2nd after topping PH box-office for 2 consecutive weeks. The Eugene Domingo-starrer now has accumulated P116.8 million in ticket sales which is good for 2nd place in this year’s highest grossing Pinoy movies list.

Only 2 Pinoy Films Made it to P100-Million Mark in Mid-2012

It is already July but only two local movies made more than P100 million at the box office according to the latest data released by Box Office Mojo website.

The John Lloyd Cruz - Angel Locsin starrer "Unofficially Yours" is still the highest-grossing Filipino movie of the year, taking in an estimated P154.8 million. The said Star Cinema produced movie is also currently ranks No. 2 for the year behind "TheAvengers," which has become the all-time top-grossing film in the Philippines raking more than P600 million during its run.

However, "The Amazing Spider-Man," which opened only last Friday, will likely topple "Unofficially Yours" from the No. 2 spot. The superhero reboot grossed an estimatedP149 million after only three days in theaters, Box Office Mojo said on Wednesday.

'Kimmy Dora 2" Reached P100 Million Mark!

Watching the first Anniversary of KrisTV and Kris herself announced that KIMMY DORA and the Temple of KYEME reached 100 MILLION Marked according to Starcinema booking!

Kimmy and Dora (both Eugene Domingo) are identical twins with different personalities. Kimmy is the smart, dictatorial type while Dora is the slow, dumb-wit sister. However, they end up being close to each other and appreciated the love as sisters. The film will focus before the birth of the twins. 

It was a set-up arranged marriage for their father Don Luisito Go Dong Hae played by Ariel Ureta to a lady with Korean Sang Kang Kang played by Alodia Gosiengfiao.

Box-Office: 'Every Breath U Take' kumita ng P25.51 Million sa unang linggo

No1 sa Philippine Box Office ang pelikula ni Piolo Pascual at Angelica Panganiban na 'Every Breath U Take' under Star Cinema.
Ayon sa third-party tabulator na boxofficemojo, naka 25.51 Million Pesos ang pelikula ng dalawa sa unang linggo nito sa sinehan.
Samantala, ang isa pang pelikulang pinyo na 'Mommy Returns' starring Gabby Concepcion at Ruffa Gutierres ay kumita ng 27.77 Million Pesos sa loob ng dalawang linggo.
Sa ngayon, ang pelikulang 'Unofficially Yours' ni Angel Locsin at John lloyd Cruz pa rin ang nangungunang pelikulang pinoy ngayong 2012 base na rin sa kinita nito.
