BOX-OFFICE RESULT: "Kimmy Dora & The Temple of Kyeme" Grosses Php133.33M


“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” has already raked-in P133.33 million in ticket sales on it’s 5th week of screening.

While the “The Amazing Spider-Man” topped Philippine box-office for two consecutive weeks before “Ice Age 4″ took the top spot last week, local movie “Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” solidified its box-office status as the 2nd highest-grossing pinoy movie of 2012 by grossing P133.33 million in 5 weeks.

‘Kimmy Dora & Temple Of Kiyeme′ Grossed P116.8-M in 3 Weeks


“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” became the second Pinoy movie of the year to surpass the P100 million box-office mark.

As expected, “The Amazing Spider-Man” topped Philippine box-office for the opening period June 27 to July 1, 2012 by virtue of its first 5-day gross of P138 million.

“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” settled for 2nd after topping PH box-office for 2 consecutive weeks. The Eugene Domingo-starrer now has accumulated P116.8 million in ticket sales which is good for 2nd place in this year’s highest grossing Pinoy movies list.

Only 2 Pinoy Films Made it to P100-Million Mark in Mid-2012


It is already July but only two local movies made more than P100 million at the box office according to the latest data released by Box Office Mojo website.


The John Lloyd Cruz - Angel Locsin starrer "Unofficially Yours" is still the highest-grossing Filipino movie of the year, taking in an estimated P154.8 million. The said Star Cinema produced movie is also currently ranks No. 2 for the year behind "TheAvengers," which has become the all-time top-grossing film in the Philippines raking more than P600 million during its run.

However, "The Amazing Spider-Man," which opened only last Friday, will likely topple "Unofficially Yours" from the No. 2 spot. The superhero reboot grossed an estimatedP149 million after only three days in theaters, Box Office Mojo said on Wednesday.
