GOZON: I will sell GMA-7 for P100 billion!

Ibebenta ang GMA Network, Inc. sa halagang P100 billion.

Ito ang sinabi ni GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon sa panayam sa kanya ni Mary Ann Ll. Reyes ng Philippine Star na nailathala kahapon, Mayo 17.

Ani Atty. Gozon, “I will sell [GMA Network] for P100 billion, and this includes the 23 percent held by the public.

“I will sign with my eyes closed.”

ACCEPTABLE OFFER. Matatandaan na nitong Abril, may lumabas na mga balitang bibilhin daw ni Manny V. Pangilinan ang GMA Network sa halagang P45 billion.

Si Pangilinan, o mas kilalang MVP, ang chairman ng TV5, PLDT, at Smart Communications.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Atty. Gozon na hindi lamang si MVP ang nagpahayag ng interes na bilhin ang Kapuso network.

“There were others who expressed interest,” pahayag niya.

Pero tumanggi siyang pangalanan ang iba pang nagkakainteres daw na bilhin ang kumpanya.

Sabi ni Atty. Gozon, “Of course, Filipino conglomerate.

“GMA is very attractive and desirable not only to MVP.

“If we receive an acceptable offer, then we will sell our entire stake in the company.”

Wala pa raw nagaganap na anumang negosasyon sa mga nagpapakita ng interes sa Kapuso network.

Ngunit inamin ni Atty. Gozon na matagal nang nagpapahayag ng interes si MVP sa kanilang network.

“The first transaction did not push through but his interest remained.

“But the company remains very attractive and desirable not only to MVP.

“There were others that expressed interest.”
