ABS-CBN Releases Official Statement regarding GMA Network's Media Advisory

ABS-CBN respond to GMA-7′s accusation of not telling the truth about its civil case against AGB Nielsen.

Last Wednesday, December 28, GMA-7′s corporate communications consultant Butch Racquel has sent a media advisory to Starmometer saying a part of ABS-CBN’s press releases about TV ratings is not true:

“ABS-CBN shifted to Kantar Media/TNS after filing a case vs. AGB Nielsen Media Research for failing to comply with its request to investigate alleged cheating and data tampering in TV ratings. The case is still pending in court.”
GMA-7 claims that ABS-CBN’s civil case against AGB Nielsen has already been dismissed by the court (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).

ABS-CBN respond to the said media advisory via a text message to Starmometer last night, December 29, pointing out that the case is indeed pending in court:

“The ABS-CBN case against AGB is still pending resolution at the Court of Appeals, contrary to what GMA says has already been resolved. GMA is not party to the case and should refrain from commenting on it.”- Bong Osorio, Head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications
